The DT301, Density Transmitter 4 to 20 mA+HART (Touché), is an equipment intended for continuous measurement of Density of liquids, directly in industrial processes. The DT301 consists of a probe with two repeating diaphragms that are immersed in the process fluid.
A temperature sensor integral to the probe located between the two repeater diaphragms automatically compensates for any variation in process temperature. Special care in the manufacture and assembly of the probe and the temperature sensor means that small variations in the process temperature are quickly informed to the transmitter, which, through a dedicated software, accurately calculates the value of the process fluid density and/or concentration. According to the industrial process, the concentration measured by DT301 can be expressed in gm³, kg/m³, Relative Density at 4ºC, Brix Degree, Baumé Degree, INPM Degree, GL Degree, Plato Degree, % Solids, Relative Density at 20ºC, % Concentration, etc.
Designed for process control applications, this two-wire transmitter generates a 4-20 mA signal proportional to Density. Digital communication (HART Protocol) is also provided for remote calibration and monitoring.
